Some people use coffee—bad idea. Instead, keep a pitcher of lemon water in the refrigerator. Start your day with about four ounces of juice. It’s refreshing and serves as a great cleanser for your body. In addition, the lemon leaves an alkaline ash even though it’s an acidic fruit. This is a good thing.
By the Glass
Squeeze the juice from one-half a lemon into about 4 ounces of water, and then drink it down. For sore throat and cold symptoms, or just ‘cause you want to, add a pinch of powdered cayenne pepper. It’ll have a healthy kick for you.
By the Pitcher
Keep it cool in the ‘fridge. Use the same ratio as the By the Glass.
(Approx) 2 Tbs. fresh Lemon Juice for each four ounces of water. That’s 3 to 4 lemons per pitcher of water.
